Yoga and Psychic Ability

Dear Soul Arcanum:

I have always associated yoga with spirituality, and I am keenly interested in developing my psychic abilities, so recently I took my first yoga class. While I really liked it, I was surprised to find it basically just a gentle form of exercise. Do you think yoga can enhance our spiritual paths and help us develop psychically?
– Kelly

Dear Kelly:

When I speak here of yoga, I am not referring to the physical practices designed to increase strength and flexibility that most Westerners associate with the term. Yoga is far more than this. Traditionally, yoga (which means “yoke”) is a spiritual discipline designed to lead aspirants to unite their individual soul with God or the Universal soul.

This is achieved through the study and practice of moral and ethical principles, spiritual teachings, meditation, and special bodily and breathing exercises. Where its focus is physical, it aims to purify and transform the body into a vehicle ripe for enlightenment. It also aims to improve our physical health and well-being; after all, it’s hard to focus on spiritual growth when our bodies are causing us pain or discomfort.

Many of the yoga classes available in the United States have been stripped of their more spiritual elements. Yoga has many branches, however, and some are far more spiritually focused than others.

In the yogic tradition, psychic powers are known as “siddhis,” which literally means “perfections.” Accomplished yogis have been known to not only develop telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and mediumship abilities, but also amazing gifts such as the ability to levitate, bilocate, instantly heal others and materialize physical objects.

As a rule, however, one does not practice yoga in order to develop siddhis; instead, they are viewed as natural “by-products” of general spiritual development. I agree that focusing primarily on spiritual development is wise, for a strong spiritual foundation ensures a safe, sane, positive experience with psychic phenomena.

Further, yoga is a discipline, and discipline is essential to a strong spiritual foundation. If someone has the desire and discipline to practice yoga on a regular basis, then they must be sincere in their desire for spiritual development. People who explore psychic matters who are mentally or emotionally unstable, morally weak, or lacking in character and discipline may have “paranormal” experiences of an unattractive nature, or even experience mental breakdown. Practices like yoga thus ensure a natural and healthy psychic progression, and also offer the immeasurable benefit of a wise teacher.

Many yogis are warned not to get caught up in siddhis because they may just distract them from their higher spiritual aims or ensnare their egos. Others believe that siddhis are blessings that allow us to better know and understand the nature of the divine. Certainly the development of psychic powers generally indicates a higher spiritual vibration, which is at least a sign that one is making spiritual progress.

Though initially I was as enthralled with psychic phenomena as anyone, over time I have come to see that the development of psychic abilities is not an ultimate spiritual goal. While such phenomena may enchant us for a while, in time we will evolve beyond this fascination; we’ll eventually lose interest in such matters and the desire to use the psychic abilities we’ve attained.

The ultimate goal of a yogi is liberation from the cycle of rebirth via enlightenment. Essential to this process is the integration of body, mind and spirit. This is where yoga can be a very special tool for spiritual growth. Unlike practices that focus entirely on our so-called “inner worlds,” yoga incorporates the body as an important aspect of our beings. By opening our chakras, balancing our prana, and raising kundalini, we can both support the spiritual progress we attain through other methods and initiate greater awakening.

A key element of yoga is the practice of focus or concentration. In this way, it is a form of active meditation. Further, as a physical discipline it is so much more than most other forms of sport and exercise, for in addition to what we might call “striving,” it emphasizes to an equal degree surrender or letting go. In this way it mirrors the experience of life itself, which is a practice in learning how to simultaneously create what we desire and accept all as it is.

As I mentioned above, there are many different types of yoga and I don’t have space to go into them here, but if your aim is the development of psychic abilities, then kundalini yoga would be of particular interest to you. Kundalini yoga’s main focus is the raising of kundalini and the opening of the higher chakra centers. Kundalini is a powerful reserve of life force energy that sleeps at the base of our spines, in our root chakras. By awakening kundalini, we expand our awareness and begin to tap more of our spiritual potential.

We each have a habit of viewing life through one of our chakras more than the others; this is the chakra that is dominant for us at that time. Ordinary consciousness is generally perception of reality from one of the lower chakra centers. As we open and move our awareness into the higher chakras, we view life through a more spiritual lens. We also tend to have mystical experiences and gain new spiritual abilities.

Our chakras correspond to our glandular system, and by working on the body (glands) and the spirit (chakras) at the same time, we can harmonize and integrate the two. This leads to higher awareness and the wisdom and freedom to choose from that enhanced perspective. It also generally leads to the blossoming of psychic abilities.

Kundalini is a very powerful force and it must be respected. Many people have awakened kundalini unintentionally through drug use, physical accidents, and casual dabbling in esoteric practices, and had very negative experiences. In order for kundalini to rise through us with ease, our inner energetic channels must be open and clear. If we awaken kundalini before the body is prepared for this level of intense energy, we may have a very uncomfortable experience physically, emotionally, and/or mentally.

Rest assured, however, that we are all flowing a degree of kundalini all the time. This is the force that keeps us “alive.” We are all also evolving spiritually, and the more we evolve, the more kundalini we tap into. Our aim should be a gradual, gentle awakening, one that we are prepared to handle. Yoga is a valuable tool in this regard.

There are some great kundalini yoga DVDs you can start with at home. I recommend DVDs by Ravi Singh/Ana Brett and Gurmukh. There are a number of them available at amazon.com. If you find this practice as enriching as I did, however, then I highly recommend you find a local class that feels right to you, because having a teacher is a great blessing, and you will meet some of the most amazing people on this path.

Weak Knees, Energy Rushes and Psychic Ability

Dear Soul Arcanum:

My name is Daniel, and I am a 19-year-old college student from Tennessee. I am an adventurous person, and enjoy exploring old homes, forests, etc. Sometimes when I’m in an old setting, I have a very strange sensation: my knees get weak and I almost feel as if I am blacking out. At the same time, I feel a rush of emotions that seem so concentrated, I can’t separate them. Although at first I assumed that this experience was connected to the “paranormal” in a “haunted house” sense, I have recently come to believe that it’s some form of psychic ability. Are the experiences I described legitimate psychic ability? I know that everyone is psychic to an extent, but my experiences don’t seem to be very common. Any information on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
– Daniel

Dear Daniel:

I think it would be most helpful to ponder your experiences in light of “kundalini” or life force energy. This will lead us to the most basic foundation for such experiences, because ultimately, everything in the Universe is a matter of energy.

While we could label these “psychic experiences,” I believe what you’re experiencing at such moments are actually surges in kundalini. As we awaken spiritually, we naturally develop psychic abilities, so the relationship between what you’re experiencing and psychic phenomena is sort of like the relationship between exercise and fitness: as you awaken spiritually, you naturally develop psychically, just as when you exercise regularly, you naturally develop greater fitness. All growth spurts involve a surge in kundalini, so whether we are growing physically or spiritually, the basic energy that animates us and gives us consciousness will surge to fuel that growth spurt.

Some symptoms of spiritual awakening/ kundalini rising include: emotional outbursts and strong waves of emotion, which may be positive (bliss and ecstasy, for example) or negative (fear, anger or depression). In the extreme, manic depression often arises from the highs and lows of erratic kundalini flow. This would explain those intense waves of emotions you feel.

Kundalini rising can also cause physical symptoms such as weakness, dizziness, exhaustion, numbness or tingling in the body (especially in the lower extremities), mental confusion, disorientation, visual distortion and psychic experiences. I’ve only named a few of the symptoms one might experience with kundalini awakening to demonstrate that all of what you describe falls within this range.

As kundalini rises into the area of the third eye and crown chakra, tiredness or drowsiness may develop. Physical weakness and fatigue are also natural because a big shift in vibration can be taxing on a body that is not adequately prepared for it. Some even say that a surge in kundalini uses up so much blood sugar that our blood sugar level may plummet, and most of us know how that feels! If we don’t understand what is going on, it’s natural to become worried or anxious about such sensations, which would only hinder the process of kundalini rising further and cause more discomfort.

Dizziness and disorientation in particular often precede some sort of spiritual breakthrough, for these are crown chakra experiences. As kundalini rises from the root chakra up the spine, it eventually makes its way out the crown of the head, so once it’s made it to the crown chakra, we’re on the verge of a breakthrough. If we “black out” at this point, it may be because we simply aren’t yet consciously up to speed with this level of experience.

Since you have these experiences when you’re in what we might term a “spiritual” setting or situation of one sort or another, I’m even more inclined to presume that they stem from a sudden surge in kundalini. If your body was a clear and open channel for this energy, you would probably have either an ecstatic spiritual experience or conscious psychic awareness of what is happening energetically in that situation. With the old forests, for example, you may have some sort of blissful spiritual experience, while in an old house, you may perceive the presence of a non-physical entity or awareness of residual energy that is somehow uncomfortable for you.

Suddenly feeling weak, sick, dizzy, etc., is not always a sign of kundalini surging, so you must view your experiences within the context of the setting and your own feelings at that moment to determine what is really happening. If you’re in an uplifting spiritual situation and you feel blissful or ecstatic, I’d presume you’re experiencing a surge in kundalini. If, however, you’re in a house you think could be haunted and you suddenly feel dizzy or weak, it’s probably a sign that this is not a good place for you to be.

You see, as kundalini rises, it makes us more and more sensitive on the whole. (This is why psychics are also known as sensitives.) If kundalini rising has made someone super sensitive but they don’t pay conscious attention to issues of energy, they may suddenly feel dizzy, weak or nauseous when they walk into a heavy, negative environment like a bar, or interact with someone of a nature that is not good for them. Because they’re not conscious, they wouldn’t know that this is their inner guidance system trying to tell them to get away from there.

Please note that kundalini awakening does not have to be a difficult or uncomfortable process, though we may not have full conscious control over how things will unfold for us personally. The more we work WITH and trust in this process, however, the smoother things should go.

It’s a bit like the growth process of the physical body: if we suddenly notice we’re growing because our clothes and shoes have gotten uncomfortably tight, and this freaks us out, we may resist growing more by doing something akin to foot binding. This will of course cause us far more discomfort. If, however, we trust in this as a natural process and we shed everything that has grown too small or tight for us (including limiting beliefs and perspectives), we can naturally flow into a bigger state of being.

Thus I believe the best thing you can do is to become a clearer, more conscious channel via spiritual practice. This is essentially why yoga developed in the first place; it opens up energy flow throughout the body and integrates us on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Meditation, spiritual study or other spiritual practices will also make you more conscious of what is happening to you on all levels. This will empower you to remain in a high vibration as you walk through such experiences and lend you more control over them.

I suggest you view these experiences as signs that you are ready to embrace a more conscious spiritual path in order to clear inner channels for new growth and development. The more conscious you get spiritually, the more you will both understand the true nature of such experiences and be able to facilitate a smooth spiritual journey.

Does Romance Interfere with Spirit?

Copyright Soul Arcanum LLC. All rights reserved. :)

Dear Soul Arcanum:

I have been working on psychic and energy healing skills for a few years now, and it has been an amazing journey. Some time ago, I met and fell in love with someone. While I feel strongly drawn to him and am very happy in this relationship, he seems to interfere with my conscious connection to Spirit! We broke up for about three weeks once, and during that time, I felt Spirit move back into my life. When we got back together again, however, I lost that sense of connection. I’m getting worried that this relationship may somehow be bad for my spiritual growth. Do you think that this romance could be bad for me spiritually?
– Michelle

Dear Michelle:

Please rest assured that no one feels deeply connected spiritually all the time. After we awaken, we’re not awake 24/7: we all frequently take what we might call spiritual naps. These are usually short little catnaps throughout the day, but sometimes we take longer naps that may last for weeks, months or even years. These “naps” are periods when we’re less focused on spiritual growth and more focused on worldly matters like our careers, families, love affairs, and just having fun. It is entirely normal to go through periods when you feel more and less consciously connected to Spirit.

I also think it’s important to realize that when a relationship affects us in a negative way, the other person is not doing something to us; how we relate to them is the problem. Ultimately, our experience of a relationship is all about us, as it arises from our interpretation of events. We should never blame anyone or anything outside of us for the quality of our relationship with Spirit, for there is nothing more personal in the Universe.

I also don’t see any demarcation between “spiritual” matters and anything else in life – everything (and every relationship) is ultimately spiritual. Our task is to find the deeper meaning in whatever we manifest in life, and relationships of all kinds can be wonderful catalysts for personal spiritual growth.

That said, I do believe that romance can indeed derail us from a conscious spiritual path. Where a conscious spiritual path is all about looking deeply into the nature of our experiences and cutting through illusions, romance is all about reveling in illusion. To keep romance going, we have to allow ourselves to get caught up in fantasy and avoid looking beneath the surface. So a conscious spiritual path and a great romance are fundamentally at odds with each other.

Please note that I’m not saying that “true love” is illusionary. True love is what one feels for one’s child, and hopefully, what one grows to feel for one’s partner. True love is constant and comforting; it’s an enduring, solid foundation that supports our well-being and personal growth. Real love is expansive and enriching; it doesn’t detract from anything good in our lives, but rather adds to it.

By contrast, romance is like standing in the middle of a teeter totter. It’s fun, exhilarating and challenging, and it often leads to someone getting hurt. Instead of adding to our lives on every level, it distracts us from everything else that is important to us. How can we do anything with focus and power when we’re constantly struggling just to maintain our balance?

Here’s what basically happens when “spiritual” people like you and me fall in love and fall off a conscious spiritual path. (Please note again that we are never truly off our path at all, for we’re doing just what we need to be doing in order to learn what we most need to learn.):

As we’re falling in love, we spend a lot of psychic energy fantasizing. We wonder about our lover and how they feel about us all the time. We daydream about the future endlessly. We begin to create a fantasy world in our heads of a life where all our dreams have come true. Our lover becomes our hero or heroine, our god or goddess. As we feel cherished and adored, we also become extraordinarily wonderful in our own eyes. We build a beautiful dream world in our minds, and that’s where we live most of the time.

At the same time, our outer routines usually change markedly. We all know the stereotype of the person who is so madly in love that he can’t eat, can’t sleep, can’t focus on his work, never sees his friends anymore, etc. Well, you can bet he isn’t spending a lot of time communing with the Divine via meditation or other spiritual practices either.

We may change a lot of little habits as well. We may rush through meditation in order to get ready for a date, or skip church in order to sleep in with our sweetheart on Sunday morning. We may acquire a whole new group of friends – our partner’s pals. In order to be “nice,” we may go see a violent action adventure flick with him instead of the thought-provoking independent film we’d normally choose.

Sometimes we even put aside our most sacred spiritual pursuits in order to “protect” an important relationship. Lovers can feel threatened by a strong spiritual path, perhaps because they sense that this is truly eternal and far more powerful than anything they have to offer. If we become afraid for the relationship, we may put our spiritual interests aside in order to reassure our lover that he is number one. This is not a long-term solution, of course, because one who has awakened cannot nap forever.

These things are natural, but they tend to derail spiritual journeys, for the energy and attention that we flow into the relationship is energy and attention we’re not consciously channeling into spiritual growth.

On top of all of this, we have to actually stifle our conscious awareness in order to maintain the illusion of blissful perfection. Some part of us is aware of both our lover’s flaws and the emotional foolishness of putting anyone or anything of this world on such a high pedestal, but when we’re in love, we do NOT want to hear about it! So we ignore those intuitions, insights, and inner knowings. We want to believe that this love is magical and will lead us to live happily ever after. We are in denial about the full nature of this relationship, the other person, and even ourselves, and we want to STAY THERE.

By pushing away all but what we want to see and hear about our love, we effectively turn off our own higher awareness. When we tell it to shut up and go away, our conscious connection to divine guidance goes underground.

What’s more, when we believe we have this rare, precious love, we naturally feel very attached to it, and this generates big fear about the possibility of losing it, along with all sorts of issues from the past (and past lives) related to self-esteem, abandonment, vulnerability, intimacy, freedom, security, etc. This launches us into lots of emotional drama, which wreaks havoc with our overall vibration – and we all know that to have a clear conscious connection with Spirit, we must have a high vibration. We might thus say that any relationship that is passionate and/or full of drama is “bad” for our spiritual growth. (Again, however, if we are IN it, there is a good reason we’re there.)

It is possible to maintain both romance and a strong spiritual path, but to do so, we have to remain conscious that we are caught up in illusion when we are feeling “in love.” This is sort of like living in the world but not of it, except in this case, we are living “in love,” but romance is not the whole point of our existence. Some might think this would take a lot of the pleasure out of romance, but I think the opposite is true: it makes romance a much lighter, easier endeavor. When we know that romance is just about having fun, and that ultimately, our happiness and well-being do NOT depend on the state of any human relationship, we can enjoy it a lot more.

When We Glimpse the Future and It’s Shocking!

Copyright Soul Arcanum LLC. All rights reserved. :)

Dear Soul Arcanum:

For the past five years I have been blessed with visions and cursed with chaos. I understand that a spiritual seeker will meet many challenges, but the last vision I had has thrown me totally off balance. I saw myself working upon land I believe will be my own – my husband and I are currently looking to purchase land in Arizona. In this vision I felt happy and at one with the world. Then I suddenly turned to my husband. He was backlit by sunlight, thus putting his face in shadow. As he slowly turned from shadow, I was stunned to see this soul mate standing next to me was not my husband at all, but a male friend. I was so shocked I almost fell over and have been able to think of nothing else since. I am a happily married woman and don’t understand why I would see this vision. I have spent the last two weeks doing a life review, trying to understand why my mind would substitute someone else in this otherwise happy vision. Please help, as I am driving myself nuts trying to figure this out. Thanks!

– A.

Dear A.:

I see two different issues here. The one I believe you are really asking about is why you might see this other man beside you as your partner if this is not going to come true. Why would that happen, and what might it mean?

Instead of a prophetic glimpse of the future, perhaps this vision was a message from Spirit. Spirit could be telling you that the key to finding your “home” in this world – whether literal or figurative – will somehow involve the friend in this vision. If it is literal, then perhaps your friend will play a role in you acquiring that land in Arizona. Perhaps he will say something or know something or someone that proves vital to you getting what you want.

If it is figurative, then perhaps Spirit is telling you that this friend has something you are looking for in your quest for happiness. It may come to you through the actual gift of words or other blessings, or it may come through you simply reflecting on this friend: on who he is, what he believes, what he does, etc.

This vision could be a sign that this friend of yours is a “soul mate.” We don’t have just one you know: a soul mate is anyone we’ve loved well in another life. It doesn’t have to be romantic. This experience could simply be you recognizing at a conscious level that you share a deeper spiritual connection to him than you realized.

The possibilities are endless. When you have a vision like this, especially one that grips you and won’t let go like this one did, it’s important to meditate on it and ask Spirit to reveal its meaning for you.

If this was a message from Spirit and you misinterpreted it as an actual vision of the future, I can see how it would be unnerving. I encourage you to back way up to before you had an emotional reaction to it, and try to see what Spirit was really trying to tell you. If you can get visions like this, believe me – you can successfully ask Spirit for greater clarity.

The second issue in your question involves figuring out what we should do when we are shown a vision of our own future that is shocking to us. I had an experience like this when I was fairly new to conscious communication with Spirit, and it was very unsettling.

At the time, I had been married for about seven years and had two young children. I was content with my life and my marriage all in all. Then one day as I was driving home in my car, I got a “news flash” from Spirit. I didn’t hear this with my physical ears, yet it still came from a source outside of myself. (Usually when I communicate with Spirit, information comes through my own mind. This time, however, the voice that spoke to me seemed more “outside” of myself.) I don’t know if this experience can be adequately conveyed in words, but I’ll do my best.

While driving, I suddenly found myself in an altered state of consciousness and “in dialogue” with an intelligence beyond myself. It basically said to me, Within five years time, you will no longer be living where you are living. You will be living in a different place, with a different man. I then sensed that the man in question was living in a nearby city, and I felt people around him – his children. I felt many key events that were going to happen, but I felt them all at once, as a whole. I couldn’t distinguish them; I was just left with the feeling of the life that would be mine. I didn’t know how it would happen, but I knew I would be living in that nearby city, that the current home I was heading toward would not be my home for long.

You could have knocked me over with a feather. I had no intention of ending my marriage, and could not imagine how this would come to be. I wondered if my husband would die, but that didn’t feel true. I wasn’t given any more information – just left with this deep knowing that this would come to pass. Everything in that “message” or vision did indeed happen, despite the fact that none of it could be seen on the horizon at the time.

At the time of this experience, I didn’t know what to do with this information. As I was in shock, I even shared it with my husband, who warned me not to let it become a self-fulfilling prophecy. That sounded like wise advice, so I decided I would not let this experience influence me in any particular direction. Instead, I would keep it in the back of my mind, and should it actually come true, let it comfort me with the knowledge that everything that happened was at least part of some higher plan.

I have since learned that this is usually the whole point behind surprising visions of our own future: they allow us to begin preparing ourselves emotionally for the possibilities they reveal. More importantly, they affirm that there is a benevolent higher plan.

To be at peace, we must find faith that if something is indeed destined, it will happen for a good reason whether we believe it will or not, and whether we want it to or not. We must also trust that someday we will be okay with it, and see how everything worked out for the best. I know that can be very hard when we’re seeing a future that contradicts our established hopes, but every time we have a vision of the future that does come true, we naturally develop a bit more trust in this higher plan. Then when we have further similar experiences, we can relax and trust that one way or another, everything will work out just fine.

We’re also wise to trust that even our visions come to us for a good reason, whether we can understand them at the time or not. This is profoundly comforting if you really think about it. When experience proves to us that ultimately everything works out and there is a force that is able to accurately reveal the future to us, we gain the faith and wisdom to surrender our fear-driven control issues and trust in this “higher power.”

I’m NOT saying that your vision indicates that your husband will not be with you in the future. I’m just suggesting that IF that does happen, all will ultimately be fine. I feel nothing ominous here. Instead, I see that your interpretation of this experience has created a smokescreen of fear and confusion. To move past this anxiety and into new clarity, you’ll have to rise above your fear into the high vibration essential to conscious communication with Spirit.

Thus I recommend you meditate, relax, and think happy thoughts, THEN ask Spirit for new insights into this matter. I trust you’ll not only be led to peace and clarity, but also new confidence in your own ability to consciously ask for and receive Divine guidance.

Is It Safe for Teen to Explore Psychic Abilities?

Copyright Soul Arcanum LLC. All rights reserved. :)

Dear Soul Arcanum:

My 15-year-old son is interested in exploring his psychic abilities. My father and I both had second sight, but only for the dark things, and we struggled to repress it. I want to know if I should let my son develop his abilities. He has shown some signs of having second sight, but only for dark things. Please let me know your opinion: is it safe for him to explore this? My father drank away the memories he had of his own psychic experiences, and I have buried mine deep within, though they still come through sometimes. My mother and her family are against me using my ability, because I read someone’s mind one time, and the reading was so dark it terrified me for weeks. I know that second sight is real – I just don’t know if my son should develop his or not. I had an unusual childhood because of my ability.
Thank you for your time.
– Tami

Dear Tami:

It doesn’t surprise me that this situation has been passed from one generation to another. In fact, I’ve seen this very issue in my own family. I was raised from the age of eight by my father, and had no contact with my mother until I was in my 20’s. My father’s family was not psychic or even spiritual in any way, and I didn’t know that on my mother’s side I was descended from a long psychic line until well after my own abilities had come to the surface.

After I was an adult and professional psychic myself, I reconnected with my mother, and that’s when I learned about her family’s history. My great-grandmother was famous for her tea-leaf readings; people traveled from all around England’s countryside to consult with her. My grandmother devoted more than 50 years to managing her Episcopal church’s office. Though she may not have labeled herself “psychic,” when she prayed for people, miracles happened. My own mother struggled a great deal psychologically and emotionally. When I was small, she teetered on that fine line between genius and madness, often leaning toward the mad side, and relied on various psychological medications to cope with life.

She was thus amazed to learn how comfortable I had become with my own psychic ability, because like you, she had had many dark experiences, and she had prayed for her abilities to be “turned off.” It was probably a blessing that I wasn’t raised by her, because I probably would have absorbed her fear of psychic matters and pushed my own abilities down as well.

This is what has happened in your family. From one fearful generation to another, the belief/ expectation that psychic = dark has been passed down. So how did this fear get started in the first place?

First, it’s natural to fear the unknown. Children are afraid of the dark because humans have an innate, primal fear of what we can’t see, don’t know, aren’t familiar with, etc. It’s the same thing that makes children afraid of strangers. These fears are designed to protect us from harm.

We not only have a natural fear of that which is unknown, unseen and unfamiliar, but there are also “gatekeepers” designed to keep us from stumbling into realms and powers we’re not yet ready for. If these dark entities or frightening experiences send us screaming for the hills, it means we’re not ready to explore higher realities. Our fear protects us from getting in over our heads. Many people have had to face and “conquer” dark entities with light when their abilities were first developing, myself included.

It goes deeper than this, however. We have to remember that we are constantly creating our own realities. Where thoughts go, energy flows; what we focus upon and expect is what we manifest. Like attracts like, so if we are afraid, we will attract frightening experiences. This is why people who believe in psychic abilities tend to have psychic experiences. It’s also why people who are scared or who expect to have scary experiences will attract frightening entities and experiences. (This is perhaps why we are prevented from moving forward by gatekeepers: we must have the ability to consciously master our thoughts before we gain the ability to consciously manifest VIA our thoughts.)

Given all of this, it is clear that the only thing to fear is fear itself, for when you are no longer afraid, you will no longer have scary experiences. It should also ease your mind to know that what you experienced is normal and common, and that many gifted psychics were afraid when their abilities first opened. When I began opening psychically, I was generally feeling very vulnerable. I was young, pregnant, newly married, and living away from friends and family for the first time in my life. I had many frightening experiences as my abilities spontaneously came to the surface. As I learned more and feared less, my experiences shifted, and I’ve not had a frightening experience since.

There is a way to rise above this scary realm and thus enjoy only uplifting, empowering psychic experiences. The first step is to conquer fear, and to do that, we must make peace with it by remembering that it protects us, just as it protect children from strangers. At the same time, we have to view our fears with the wisdom of experience. Not all strangers are menacing – in fact, most are harmless, and some could prove to be great benefactors. The same is true with non-physical energies: some may seem evil, but most are harmless, and some are tremendously helpful.

Fear is also a sign that we’re stretching ourselves. A little fear is what I call excitement, while a lot of fear is a sign that we need to prepare more before we move forward. The fear itself is a helpful gauge for what we should do next. Though we may feel afraid, if we hide in the basement and avoid strangers for the rest of our lives, we’ll miss everything wonderful in life. Instead, we must learn about the world via experience, and develop discernment. This is what you and your family must do with your psychic abilities. Instead of hiding from them, you must learn about them and develop them consciously so you can be discerning.

To do this, developing psychics must raise their vibration, deepen their knowledge and understanding, and cultivate faith via general spiritual development. To move in this direction, please consider the following actions: study psychic and spiritual matters by reading the wealth of material available on this subject; make peace with your fear; purify your heart and soul by setting only high intentions, acting with integrity and compassion, conquering bad habits, healing anger and resentment, etc.; take a class with a reputable spiritual teacher; pray or meditate regularly; ask Spirit to guide you toward positive, empowering, enlightening experiences.

My own son is also 15 and very psychically gifted. Despite growing up with a psychic mom, he also had some initially disturbing experiences with non-physical entities. Fortunately, I was able to reassure him, clear his aura of dark entities, and teach him how to work with his own vibration to radiate light and thus attract higher experiences.

While you may not be able to help your son in this way due to your fear, there are others who can. Find a local Spiritualist church and contact a minister there for guidance. Allow your fears to be brought into the light, for the more light you shed upon these shadows – the more knowledge, faith and understanding you view them through – the more natural and positive your psychic abilities will seem.

In my view, this situation with your son is a wonderful opportunity to break a fearful chain of experience. Together, you two have the power to transform your family’s suffering into a wonderful legacy. If you conquer your fear and begin to embrace your abilities as divine gifts, they will begin to bring your family wonderful blessings for many generations to come.

How Do You Know You’re Ready for Psychic Development?

Copyright Soul Arcanum LLC. All rights reserved. :)

Dear Soul Arcanum:

I’ve long been interested in developing my own psychic abilities, but something in me keeps holding back. Are there reasons one should NOT pursue this? How do you know when you’re ready, when this is what you’re supposed to do?
– Jan

Dear Jan:

It has been my experience that the way one approaches psychic development – the quality of energy one puts into it – will determine the quality of the experiences that unfold. The following questions will hopefully illuminate the attributes that facilitate a pleasant, positive, successful psychic journey.

Fear/Faith

Do you believe the Universe is a benevolent place? Do you trust your own judgment, or do you dismiss your own experiences as “unreal” if they don’t match what you’ve been taught to believe by others? Are you afraid of delving into psychic matters?

Faith is important because it both fuels success and protects us from negativity. Whatever we focus upon expands, so if we explore psychic matters with fear that we will come to harm, we will have scary experiences. One does not have to be totally fearless, mind you; a little fear of the new and as yet unknown is what I call excitement! Fearing eternal damnation, however, is not the kind of fear you want to push through. Lose the fear by educating yourself first.

Ethics

Do you have a strong sense of integrity? Are you honest with others and yourself? What is your motivation for delving into psychic matters?

Integrity is important because psychic knowledge is a huge responsibility. We will be held accountable for our knowledge, therefore, those who unwittingly blunder may feel the undesirable effects of that “mistake,” but those who should know better and choose to do wrong will experience far greater consequences. Picture a child riding a tricycle and crashing full speed into a tree, versus a man driving a Porsche full speed into a tree – the greater power of the Porsche means greater consequences if mistakes are made.

Respect

Do you have a healthy respect for spiritual phenomena? Can you respect these matters without fearing them?

This is important because those who play at spirit communication and fail to respect psychic processes are generally careless, and often attract mischievous entities and undesirable experiences. This approach can become a pointless game or drama – which is exactly what these folks signed up for.

Timing

Is your life sailing along smoothly for the most part, or do you have a lot of dramas to manage? Do you have the time and the inner resources to devote to psychic development now?

Timing is important for obvious reasons. If we’re already overwhelmed with normal life, how can we expect to take on a new paranormal realm of experience? One must master one level of experience before messing around with another. To leap ahead would be like the little boy on the tricycle getting behind the wheel of that Porsche.

Courage

Are you willing to face and conquer your own fears? Are you at peace with the fact that there is a shadow side of life? Are you prepared for your personal life to be turned on its head?

Courage is essential because we will be tested as we move forward. These tests are similar to driving tests; they’re meant to prevent us from getting hurt. Before we’re allowed to take off down the road in a Porsche, we have to prove we can handle ourselves on slippery pavement, in unfavorable conditions, etc. Also, when we begin to develop psychically, our personal lives often get turned upside down because as we devote ourselves to this path, the people and circumstances that could hinder us naturally get cleared out of our way.

Physical Health:

Are you strong and healthy? Do you use drugs (either recreational or medicinal) on a regular basis? Do you have unhealthy addictions to food, alcohol, drama, certain people – whatever – that are getting the better of you? Do you enjoy high energy and a sense of well-being?

Physical health is important because a high vibration is needed to access psychic realms. If we strain for those realms while in poor health, it’s like someone who is out of shape trying to climb a mountain. It will be much harder (if not impossible), and the odds of getting hurt are greater.

Emotional Health:

Are you emotionally stable? Have you moved past the common pattern of dependent/codependent, victim/rescuer? Do you take responsibility for what you create in your life, and do you expect others to do the same?

Emotional health is important because opening psychically means opening to outside influences. If we are emotionally fragile or unbalanced, then when we are down or out of control, we’ll attract similar energies, which will just send us further in that direction. It can be overwhelming to feel others’ emotions. We’re all doing this the time, of course, but before we cultivate even greater sensitivity, we’re wise to have our own emotions balanced.

Psychological Health:

Are you clear-thinking and discerning? Are you grounded in this reality? Are you engaged in other strenuous studies, or are you ready for new challenging courses? Are you curious and prepared to study and practice?

Psychological health is important because it’s so easy to lose touch with common reality when we move into this realm where incredible things happen right and left. This is one of the biggest risks in psychic development. We’re all familiar with the stereotype of the “New Ager” who sees meaning in every dust mote and blade of grass she encounters. As with most stereotypes, there is some truth to this one; we have to be very grounded psychologically to walk the fine line between being open-minded and being so far “out there” that we can no longer relate to others.

Spiritual Health:

Do you strive for the high ideals of love, forgiveness and compassion in your daily life? Do you have a sense of yourself as part of a larger whole? Do you feel connected to God/Spirit/the Divine? Is a desire to grow spiritually a central driving force in your life?

The more we trust in Spirit, the more open we are to being helped by Spirit. By aligning with high ideals, we align with Divine guidance and with the conditions essential to a positive psychic experience.

Beliefs:

Do you believe psychic ability is real and possible? That it is natural and normal? Have you ever had psychic experiences yourself? Did you trust those experiences as real? Are you well-read regarding psychic subjects?

It is wise to maintain healthy skepticism, but an active disbelief in psychic abilities will bar us from them. This has been proven in experiment after experiment; those who believe in psychic abilities demonstrate the most psychic ability.

Being Called

Finally, do you feel called to develop psychically? Are you fascinated by these subjects, and do you feel compelled to explore them?

While meeting the above criteria is helpful, it’s not essential. A strong calling from deep within is all you really need. You don’t have to wrangle with the questions above if your heart knows its true path. Just honor that calling, and you will be led.

I don’t want to give the impression that psychic development is only for a perfect chosen few, or that it is rare or even hard to achieve. No one is 100% together. Heck, I felt intimidated by the above questions, and I wrote them! If you’re not ready, however, you won’t go as far as fast, and your path may be bumpier. If you approach this with a solid foundation, it can be an easy, wondrous, delightful journey.

Her Pendulum Isn’t “Working”

Copyright Soul Arcanum LLC. All rights reserved. :)

Dear Soul Arcanum:

I bought a pendulum from a website, and no matter how many questions I ask it, it doesn’t swing for me.  How come? Is there any power infused in it at all? A fortune teller told me I will never win big in the lottery. Do you think this is true? How can I get winning numbers with a pendulum?

– S.

Dear S.:

I would be very surprised if you had written that you WERE able to get winning lottery numbers with your pendulum.

First, there is nothing “magical” in the pendulum itself. It’s just an inanimate object that can be used as a tool for accessing our own higher awareness. No “magic” is infused in the object; the magic must come from within. Hence, the quality of information that that we can access with a pendulum will depend on our own inner development. If we’re not very “enlightened,” then we certainly can’t expect to work miracles (such as winning the lottery) with a pendulum.

Everything in the universe has a vibration, and that vibration determines the quality of its energy/experience. Psychic ability is found at the upper range of vibration for the Earth plane. So-called “fortune tellers” generally vibrate below that level. They may at times stretch “up” into that range, but on the whole, they’re too focused on the material world to consistently be able to access meta-physical information. Psychics have a very high vibration, but there are some who are even higher. Mediums and spiritual healers tend to dwell above psychics, and then there are spiritual teachers, monks and ascetics who are so high up there it’s a wonder they’re physically incarnate at all.

By contrast, those who expect to win the lottery tend to have a much lower vibration than psychics. First, their focus on material wealth is a world away from higher spiritual awareness. While natural abundance is a divine blessing, ATTACHMENT to physical wealth is born of fear. There’s nothing wrong with desiring abundance so long as our priorities remain straight.

Lottery seekers also tend to have weak wills. They may say they want very badly to win, but if you ask them what they are willing to do to attain that wealth on their own, you will get the real story – one full of excuses about how they can’t, they wouldn’t know where to start, etc.

As our will is central to forming our future experiences, folks who want millions just handed to them should bet on it NOT happening. If they owned their power as creators of their own experiences, instead of grasping at the unlikely “solution” of winning the lottery, they’d just focus on abundance and let it come through whatever doorway was most open. They tend to feel frustrated and cheated in life, which just lowers their vibration further. They are simply not in harmony with success and fulfillment, nor with psychic ability.

When our motivation is self-focused, our vibration plummets. When we are full of love, compassion and the desire to serve others, then our vibration soars into the psychic range. It’s really very simple if you think about it. Picture that psychic ability is available to anyone – at an altitude of a mile up. We can “float up” there via meditation, or use different practices to reach that vibratory level. The more we purify our hearts and minds, the lighter we become. This is sort of like filling ourselves with helium. Every time we allow doubt to enter in or we become self-focused, grasping, fearful, frustrated, etc., we get heavier and start sinking back down to the ground again. To be able to freely float up and stay aloft, we have to stay “light.”

The safe and reliable path to psychic development is to purify the heart and mind of negativity so that one naturally rises into that range. Someone who abides at the upper reaches of the physical dimension’s vibratory range has to actually work at staying grounded in “this reality” just as much as those who are “heavy” have to work at accessing higher realms.

The first thing anyone should do if they wish to develop psychic ability is engage in some serious self-analysis. Many lottery seekers will quit reading right here, because this just sounds like too much darn work. That’s perfectly fine – they’ll eventually tire of feeling like life is an unfair, uphill battle and become motivated to examine how they’re creating their own experiences.

For those who are still reading, please note that knowing and purifying oneself of selfish motivations and negativity is essential to spiritual growth and psychic development. You must ask yourself WHY you wish to develop (or for that matter why you think and do everything in life). If you want to be psychic because you want to win the lottery or know whether your spouse is cheating on you, you’re in for a long, frustrating journey. If you want to understand the nature of life, to know that there is indeed a benevolent purpose behind it all so that you can help humankind find the faith to carry on, then psychic experiences and powers will fall into your lap with very little conscious effort on your part.

This sense of higher purpose ignites spiritual growth. It shoots your vibration straight up into the realm of psychic ability. Once you’re at that level, lottery numbers are no longer important. You know that what you need will come to you, and you’re so inspired by the view and your potency as a creator and the richness of the NOW that you don’t think at all the way you did when winning the lottery seemed like the answer to your every prayer.

Now, if you did have an altruistic reason for wanting to win the lottery – to help a sick child or even just demonstrate what is possible to the world – it may be workable. Then, however, we have to consider who would be capable of this psychic feat. A fledgling psychic expecting to get winning lottery numbers with a pendulum is a bit like a piano student who has just learned how to plunk out “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” sitting down and trying to play “Flight of the Bumble Bee” like one pianist in 10 million. Nevertheless, with the perfect alignment of energy, it could be done.

You lottery mongers who are still reading are probably now thinking, “Oh! Well why didn’t you just say so? Hurry up and tell me who to go to so I can get those winning numbers.” If your heart is pure and your intentions are truly selfless, then give your favorite reader a whirl. As purity of intention and the lottery are an unlikely combination, however, then it’s silly to ask a psychic to do something they would have no desire to do and not be good at anyway. It’s a bit like asking a ballerina to build you a suspension bridge – to Hawaii.

The important thing to take from all of this is the knowledge that attachment to the pleasures of the physical world and psychic ability are not a good match. While we all have latent psychic abilities, as with any other sort of skill, we have to develop a strong foundation for their development. Those who are wise will simply focus on spiritual growth with trust that all that follows will divinely fulfill their highest needs.

Relationship Between Astral Projection and Psychic Ability

Copyright Soul Arcanum LLC. All rights reserved. :)

Dear Soul Arcanum:
I recently had what I believe to be my first out of body experience, and since then, all kinds of strange and exciting things have been happening. I had read about OOBE’s in a book and felt I just had to try it. I began all kinds of different exercises, and though it took me almost two months of regular practice, finally had an experience where I was out of my body and sort of bouncing around my room. It was unlike anything I’ve ever felt before. I’ve been able to get out a number of times since this first experience. Since this began, all kinds of strange things have been happening. My psychic abilities have just gone through the roof! I can’t even begin to explain in the space here. Is there a connection between psychic abilities and astral projection, and what is that connection? Is projecting a good way to develop psychically? Thanks so much!
June

Dear June:
Thanks for a great question. Yes, psychic skills and the ability to astral project are absolutely related. Everything I’ve read and everyone I have discussed the matter with have agreed that there is a strong relationship between the ability to astral project and psychic ability in general. For example, my friend Bob Peterson (author of Out of Body Experiences: How to Have Them and What to Expect, among other astral projection books) experienced a surge in strange/psychic experiences when he began practicing astral projection. He writes, “I had many different types of psychic experiences. Remarkably, they all seemed to happen overnight. As crazy as it sounds, wishes started coming true. Suddenly the world was magical.” It’s important to note that he became interested in astral projection first; his intuitive development and interest in psychic matters were born as a result of the unusual experiences he had after he began projecting.

This is relatively uncommon, for most folks are already interested in psychic matters when they begin to explore astral projection, and then usually because they’ve read about it somewhere. As for the relationship between the two, astral projection is one of many practices that can lead to psychic development, and the more one has mastered either, the easier the other skill will become.

Here’s an analogy that may help: Imagine that instead of psychic development, your goal is to lose weight and get in shape. One thing that could help you achieve your goal is to take up jogging (practicing astral projection). Now, you can lose weight without jogging, and you can jog without losing weight, but of course jogging will enhance your weight loss efforts, and losing weight makes it easier to jog.

Similarly, practicing astral projection can help you develop psychically, and developing psychically can make it easier to astral project. Both involve a shift into an altered state of consciousness, preferably one that is self-induced instead of accidental or spontaneous.

This distinction is an important one. Many people have intuitive flashes. A good number of people also have spontaneous out of body experiences. These may arise unexpectedly during meditation, or they may be caused by an accident or some other trauma. While such experiences may enhance one’s interest in psychic development, they don’t contribute much to one’s conscious ability to induce the state of consciousness necessary to activate those experiences.

Accessing psychic information and leaving one’s body at will both require learning how to control one’s state of consciousness. In my experience, astral projection is far more difficult to master than general psychic development. To carry the earlier analogy forward, this is like “losing weight” as compared to completing a triathlon. Losing weight/ developing psychically can be achieved many ways, some of them easier than others, but astral projecting/ completing a triathlon is going to be challenging no matter what. While you can develop psychically (get in shape) without ever projecting, it would be hard to project (train for a triathlon) without developing psychically (getting in shape). Hence, those who practice astral projection naturally develop psychically in the process.

It’s important to note that one does not need to leave one’s body to psychically access information. As I see it, our minds are not “in our bodies” to begin with. If I ask you, “Where is your left big toe?” you know right where to point. If I ask you, “Where is your mind?” what do you say? Our minds are already unbound by the laws of space and time. As astral projection is far harder to master and control than psychic ability is, if what we’re seeking is wisdom and guidance, then there is no reason to go to the trouble of leaving the body in order to meet with metaphysical guides or access information from others times and places.

There are some great benefits of learning how to astral project, however. As has been stated, practicing projection will naturally develop psychic abilities further; because it is a very high level ability, mastering it can lead to leaps and bounds in psychic and spiritual development.

It’s also an amazing, transformational experience in and of itself. Through astral projection, we come to know via direct experience that we are more than our physical bodies. This can erase fear of death because we know without a doubt that our existence is not dependent on anything in the physical realm. The indescribably blissful feeling of being out of the body and not really giving a darn about the physical or whether or not we ever return to it is very freeing and enlightening.

Astral projecting is also a wonderful way to experience the power of our minds to affect and create reality. While in the astral, we have only to think of something and it will appear or happen. Experiencing the creative power of the mind in this immediate, responsive environment deepens our awareness of how we’re creating our realities with our thoughts all the time, just in less direct and obvious ways.

So in summary, you can develop psychically without ever projecting, but you can’t master projection without developing psychically any more than you could train for a triathlon and fail to get more fit. The sudden flood of psychic experiences you’ve encountered in the wake of your astral projection experiences is totally normal and to be expected. Given that you’re well on your way to mastering astral projection, you can assume that you already have a high level of psychic ability, and that your potential in that arena is extraordinary.

Dear Soul Arcanum:

Whenever I speak with Mediums or read what they have to say about communicating with Spirit, they say you have to raise your vibration to Spirit’s level. How do you do this? After my father crossed over, I heard him say my name. This only happened once, and I really don’t know what I did differently at that time to receive this communication. Is there a way to practice raising your vibration? Thank you!
Chris

Dear Chris:

We all go through periods when we’re down and the whole world seems gloomy, and we all gone through periods when everything in the world seems beautiful, wonderful and full of unlimited potential. The difference is in our vibration. To feel “low” or “down” is to have a low vibration, and to feel “up” or “high” is to have a high vibration. When we’re feeling gloomy, we may have a hard time seeing any aspect of the divine, but when we’re soaring, the whole world glows with divine light. To consciously connect with Spirit, we have to be in this “higher” state.

Anything you do that induces “up” feelings such as reverence, appreciation, joy, hope, vitality, peace, love, etc., will raise your vibration. Conversely, anything you do that leads to “low” feelings like anger, sorrow, guilt, hatred, despair, fear, jealousy and frustration will lower your vibration. On a mental level, thoughts that are expansive, constructive, affirming and progressive will raise your vibration. Thoughts that are limiting, invalidating, destructive and regressive will lower your vibration. At a physical level, habits that increase the strength, health and balance of the body will raise your vibration, while habits that weaken, disrupt and imbalance the energy of the body will lower your vibration.

At a spiritual level, the more you embrace love, the more you raise your vibration. Fundamentally, this basic formula is also true at all the other levels, it’s just trickier to see how eating healthfully is loving the temple of your body, and how allowing yourself to stay in grief or sorrow is ultimately unloving of yourself. As we must be at a high vibration to connect with Spirit, most people experience spontaneous spirit communication not when they’re aching for it out of grief and sorrow, but when they’re remembering their loved one with profound affection and appreciation. This is the key you’re looking for. When we ache for communication, our vibration is generally too low to actually receive it.

Remember: what you do to raise your energy at one level will affect your energy overall, so there is always a way to shift gears and move higher, even when you’re stuck in some area of your life.

As for conscious spirit communication, most mediums’ lives are studies in maintaining a high vibration all the time. When it comes to spirit communication, they’ll have learned or developed their own personal techniques for shifting their consciousness and raising their energy even higher in order to “tune in” to this desired frequency. This usually involves some sort of prayer and/ or meditation, an example of which you’ll find below. First, however, I offer you a few of the endless simple ways you can build a high vibration into the foundation of your daily life:

  • Exercise! From running to yoga to rock climbing, exercise is will rev your energy up.
  • Cleaning, organizing, practicing feng shui, taking a shower or bath (don’t you always feel better after you bathe?)
  • Eating light, high vibration foods like fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Taking a nap/ sleeping (When we go to sleep, we shed the weight of resistance, and thus our vibration rises)
  • Praying, practicing creative visualization, using affirmations, reading uplifting books, practicing gratitude
  • Singing, especially with others, or listening to new age/ uplifting music
  • Breathwork/ yogic breathing
  • Going for a walk in nature or spending time near water
  • Surrounding ourselves with uplifting, positive people, or with a beautiful, peaceful or happy environment
  • Practicing forgiveness, giving and receiving healing, doing kind things for others
  • Practicing aromatherapy (great scents for prophecy include nutmeg, clove, clary sage, angelica root, verbena)
  • Practicing a guided meditation for raising our vibration, or surrounding ourselves with “white light” (there are some great ones in Soul Arcanum’s Spiritual Toolbox)
  • Endless others, such as watching a comedy, making love, holding a happy baby, spending time in the sun, asking Spirit to raise our vibration, accepting and blessing everything in our lives, giving gifts, being polite, playing with kids or friends or animals, etc.

As I mentioned above, the best way to open to communication from a specific loved one in Spirit is to simply remember them with love and joy. Wallow in happy memories of them, and with joy in your heart, invite them to visit you. The guided meditation below should get you into an ideal state of consciousness for either spirit communication with loved ones or accessing answers and information from guides. Shift into this higher gear, then turn on the love, and magic will happen!

Guided Meditation for Raising your Vibration:

First, relax. Make sure you’re comfortable, whether that means you’re sitting erect with your spine straight, or lying comfortably on your favorite sofa. Breathe deep into your belly, and take as long as you need to relax every muscle in your body. Don’t rush: you’ll get out of this what you put into it.

Now as you breathe, feel yourself expanding with each inhalation like a lovely, big balloon. You’re growing lighter and lighter, to the point where you’re just barely touching whatever is beneath you. One more breath in and poof! You’re airborne. Each breath now takes you a little higher. You’re floating up and up towards the clouds above you. It’s exhilarating! As you look around, you can see many kindred spirits, all doing the same thing: raising their vibration in prayer or in thanksgiving, consciously connecting with Spirit.

Up and up you go above the tree tops, and now you’re heading straight for the clouds. How soft and misty they are as you pass through them, how pure and white. Now suddenly you’re above the clouds, and it is so amazingly bright! It’s a whole new world up here in the warm, golden sun. Delighted, you realize that you can look down and see anything and anyone you desire below as the clouds float by. You can see the big picture so clearly now. It’s easy to see the best way to get from one place to another on Earth from up here. It’s all so simple. You can see how this frightened mother is going to run right into her lost little girl as she turns that next corner, and how that man who is walking sadly away from a failed marriage is heading straight for a beautiful new lover, one with long red hair. From up here, you deeply know that all is truly well. You smile at angels and spirit guides as they hustle about, whispering insights and intuitions and nudging people this way and that way, and these guides wave to you with delight at your ability to perceive them.

You are thrilled, for you know that you can ask anything you desire and get an answer! You know you can call out to anyone in Spirit, and someone will respond. It may not always be the one you’re seeking, but you always get an answer, and you trust it’s the answer that is perfect for you at that moment. Your heart is swelling with the wonder of it all. You feel so light, so free, so full of hope and peace and excitement for all the possibilities that are open to you when you’re soaring high above it all.

You’re now wonderfully connected and ready to ask whatever you desire for yourself and for anyone who needs your help. Your heart and spirit are soaring and ready for magic! Go on and ask whatever you desire, and know that as you ask, you shall receive.

(I’m working on a series of recordings designed to guide you in achieving the right state of mind and being for spirit communication, as obviously, it’s not quite as simple as the article above may intimate. By the time you come to read this article, it may already be available at Soul Arcanum.)
